about

The Delights single ' Listen To Me Girl' was recorded in summer 1968 but never released. Written and produced by Charles Bowen and Manny Campbell of Emandolynn Music.

The Delights were a group with two being Manny Campbell's cousins, brothers Kemp ‘Toppy' Hill (the eldest) and Ellis Hill, their cousin Jaime Hill plus a teenage friend of theirs.

The lead singer and only female member of the group was Brandi ‘Peaches’ Wells, (Brandi Wells was later best known for her hit song in the 80’s Watch Out )

With a family connection to Manny Campbell it was inevitable that they would feature on some of his production sessions, including @thenurons All Of My Life and I'm A Loner being a couple of them.

During the mid 1970's The Delights did go on to record and release a few 45's for the Phil-L.A Of Soul Label. (It's As Simple As That/Things Ain't What They Used To Be)

Listen To Me Girl' was composed by Manny and Charles J. Bowen.
